CAT 2008 had total 90 questions. The section wise split was - DI and LR: 25, Quant: 25 and Verbal: 40. The CAT 2008 paper can be termed as medium in terms of difficulty level. The marked difference from previous years CAT was an increase in number of questions in Verbal(Engligh) Section.
The questions in this section ranged from Algebra, Arithmetic, Geomtery, Modern Mathematics, Numerical Logic and Data Sufficiency (DS).
As usual Reading Comprehension (RC), and Error Correction comprised majority of this section.RC passages were fairly simple, and all four of them were short and easy to comprehend. The questions on Para Formation were simple as well. Overall this section was a treat for Verbal-lovers.
This was another tough section. DI had a mix of calculation based and reasoning based questions. The LR question was quite easy and attempting it first would have been a smart choice.
