Overall

FMS 2009 had total 175 questions.The section wise split was - Quantitative Aptitude: 49, Analytical and Logical Reasoning: 49, RC: 35 and English Usage: 42. The paper this year was lengthier and much difficult as compared to last year's paper. The paper also had a number of errors especially in the quantitative section.

Quantitative Aptitude

The questions in this section ranged from Algebra, Arithmetic, Geomtery, Numbers, Permutation & Combination, Probability and Data Interpretation (DI).

Analytical and Logical Reasoning

This section included around 13 sets each having 2-4 questions. Key to crack this section was to keep cool and attempt selected sets. Analytical Reasoning questions were easy and Logical Reasoning questions were very direct.

Reading Comprehension & English Usage

RC section contained 5 passages with 7 questions each making a total of 35 questions. The passages given were all of high difficulty level with the topics focusing on subjects like Economics, Psychology, Biology (Evolution), Sociology and Legal affairs. English Usage section was moderate to difficult level with a total of 42 questions.
