1. How do I earn brownies?

You can earn Brownies by the following ways:

  • Get 50 Brownies as a token after Registration with MindInsight.
  • Invite your friends to MindInsight.
  • Solve 'Battle of Wits' correctly.
  • Solve 'Boogle Your Mind' correctly.
  • Reply to the questions posted in Forums and correct/helpful answers will earn you brownies.

2. How do I spend brownies?

Brownies can be spent in the following ways:

  • Ask your doubts/questions from MindGuru.
  • Get additional full length testpaper.
  • Participate in CAT T20 if you miss to register before the free registration date.

3. Are you facing trouble in receiving activation mail?

Please check the Spam Folder incase you didn't receive it in the Inbox. Also mark it as 'not a spam' so that any future mails won't go to the Spam Folder. If you don't receive the mail even in Spam Folder, please write a mail to team@mindinsight.com from the same e-mail id with which you have registered at mindinsight. If you don't want to send an e-mail, please register with a different e-mail id.

  • Yahoo Mail is showing problems at present. Please use an e-mail id other than Yahoo Mail.

4. What is Test Centre?

The Test Centre helps improve your test-taking skills and train you in accuracy, question selection, and time allocation while taking the test. Test Centre has a wide range of Online Mock CATs (mCATs)that familiarize you with the patterns of past CAT papers that prepare you for the actual CAT.

5. What is "Ask MindGuru"?

MindGuru is the medium of communication between User and MindInsight. You can ask MindGuru for advice on any aspect of your CAT preparation and other doubts on MBA preparation. Asking questions from MindGuru costs 10 brownies.

6. How is the overall percentile for a mCAT generated and why does it keep changing?

The percentile for a test is calculated based on your performance versus the users who have attempted that test before you. It is dynamic in nature and keeps on changing as more and more subscribers take it. For example, say on 1st Nov, you take mCAT and you get a percentile. By 5th Nov more subscribers will have attempted the same test. On 5th Nov your percentile is recalculated, based on the performance of the new test takers.

7. What are the system requirements for using MindInsight?

You need a PC with Windows or Linux OS with Internet Connection and Internet Explorer (version 7.0 and above) or Firefox (version 3.0 and above) as your browser.

8. Do I need internet connectivity continuously to use MindInsight?

You need an active internet connection to launch a test and browsing the site. Once a test is in progress, you can continue even if your internet connection breaks. Once your internet connection is restored, you can log in to MindInsight and your test results will be updated.

9. Can I save my ongoing test and resume it later?

Yes you can. If you are interrupted for some reason, you can save your test and resume it later.
